Anakin Insights
Anakin does not issue qualified electronic signatures (QES). It provides native e-signatures with consent records, a hash-chained audit trail, an HMAC seal, and a best-effort timestamp, which suits NDAs, MSAs, orders, and approvals between businesses. If a regulated flow legally requires QES, use a qualified trust service provider instead.
Anakin offers native electronic signatures for business agreements. Each signature is backed by a recorded consent, the signer's company and title, a hash-chained audit trail, an HMAC seal, and a best-effort RFC 3161 timestamp. That is strong evidence of who agreed to what and when, without making the signer prove their identity through a third party.
A QES requires a qualified certificate and identity proofing for each signer, and providers charge per signature. That friction defeats the point of fast, automated agreement flows. For many business documents, such as NDAs, master service agreements, statements of work, purchase orders, and internal approvals, simpler electronic signatures are commonly accepted, and the parties can also agree in the contract that electronic signatures are binding.
Use a qualified provider or the formal process the law requires when your document is, for example:
Whether a document needs a qualified signature depends on your jurisdiction and document type. Ask qualified counsel.
Parties can state in their agreement that electronic signatures made through the platform are valid and binding between them and that neither will contest validity solely because the contract was signed electronically. Have counsel draft and review that language for your jurisdiction. This site gives product information, not legal advice.
A qualified electronic signature is the EU eIDAS tier that is legally equivalent to a handwritten signature. It requires a qualified certificate from a trust service provider and identity proofing of the signer.
QES adds identity-verification steps for every signer and a vendor fee per signature, which breaks fast, automated agreement flows. Anakin targets the agreements where simpler electronic signatures are accepted.
Anything the law requires to be notarized, registered, or signed in qualified form, for example real-property transfers, notarial acts, and registrable securities transfers. Execute those in the form the law requires.
It is a possible future add-on if a customer has a concrete regulated flow that is blocked without it. It is not available today.
